Summary: In the early 1990s, the Chinese men's table tennis team suffered consecutive losses to the formidable Swedish team, who had claimed their third straight men's team title at the World Table Tennis Championships. At this critical moment, Chinese table tennis coach Dai Minjia decided to give up his high-paying job in Italy and return to China. Leading a squad of rookies and veterans, Dai vowed to return the national team to their winning ways. In the men's team final at the 1995 World Championships in Tianjin, the Chinese team once again met their old rival Sweden. With collective wisdom and individual strength, the Chinese team staged a remarkable comeback to defeat their opponent 3-2 and reclaimed the Swaythling Cup.
