Enter a drama where truth, satire and memory interplay and conflict. India@Crossroads is an adaptation of Arjun Raina’s English play The Weight-loss Hour. Set in an India of 2007, it is a dark comedy, that slices through India’s social and political landscape. Working with three bodies, one in a weight-loss clinic, another on a revolutionary hunger strike and a third, a saint resting in his grave, the play evokes the conflicts that explode when characters resist their life conditions. With provocative humour and unforgettable characters, Kalpana, Zahira, Aurangzeb and the lone chorus work to celebrate the ironies and conflicts of modern India.
