Plein Air Down Under Painting Festival Weekend

Australia’s premier outdoor painting festival, Plein Air Down Under, brings together artists and art lovers for an unforgettable celebration of creativity.

Whether you're a seasoned artist or simply enjoy watching art in action, this festival offers something for everyone.

Running across multiple locations in Mandurah and Pinjarra, the festival features an exciting lineup of workshops, paint outs, exhibitions, awards, prizes, demonstrations, and artist talks. With over $12,000 in cash and prizes, participating artists aim to capture the character and beauty of the region’s stunning natural and built environment.

Pre and Post Festival Activities
To extend the festival experience, attendees can take part in a variety of pre- and post-weekend activities, including:
• World Wide Paint Out – 6 September, Mandjar Square Mandurah
• Spirit of the Landscape Exhibition – Mandurah Performing Arts Centre 6 September to 12 October
• Masterclasses with internationally acclaimed artists:
o Oil & Gouache Painting with Michele Usibelli (USA)
o Pastel Painting with Aaron Schuerr (USA)
o Plein Air Painting with Leon Holmes (WA)
• Workshops led by award winning artists:
