Smart meets silly in The Peer Revue, where cutting-edge research fuels improv comedy. Each show, a different superstar researcher tells stories from their research, which will inspire a cast of talented improvisers to create brand new, unscripted comedy.
Feedback—it’s supposed to help us learn and improve, but let’s be honest… sometimes it just stings. So how do we seek feedback effectively, actually use it, and maybe even enjoy the process?
For our March edition of The Peer Revue, Professor Phillip Dawson, an internationally recognized expert on assessment and feedback, takes the stage to explore the art (and awkwardness) of seeking feedback. Phill is a Professor at Deakin University, co-director of the Centre for Research in Assessment and Digital Learning (CRADLE), and leads an Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery project focused on helping people make the most of feedback. He also teaches the free online course How to Seek Feedback Effectively.
The Peer Revue is a hilarious celebration of science, philosophy, history, art, and all things academic. You’ll laugh, and you also might learn.
Presented by Cornershop Comedy, a not-for-profit comedy theatre. At least 80% of Cornershop Comedy show profits go directly to our artists, and the rest is reinvested in the community, including helping subsidise scholarship placements in our comedy workshops.
