This Makuru, as the cool winds roll in and the rains wake the earth, Elizabeth Quay is lighting up in celebration.
From 1–30 June, stroll along the river’s edge and watch the season come to life through vivid art projections — bursts of bright wildflowers, set against the shifting skies and swelling waters of the Derbarl Yerrigan. Every evening, Elizabeth Quay will be transformed into a giant canvas - a glowing garden of illuminated flowers bringing colour to Boorloo's Makuru nights.
While you’re here, linger a little longer and savour the flavours of the season at one of many waterfront restaurants and bars.
Sink into a riverside feast of freshly shucked oysters, or take a seat at an intimate fine dining experience that showcases some of WA’s rarest and most storied produce.
For something more relaxed, sip a season-inspired cocktail at a rooftop bar, where sweeping views stretch across the water. And for a final sweet note, wander the quay with a lemon myrtle gelato in hand — a little burst of sunshine on a crisp Makuru evening.
The season’s here — waiting for you to dive in.
