Blindspott

Blindspott love making music for a generation who like their music REAL, LOUD, EMOTIVE and above all, HONEST. Their self titled first album (2002) sold 7,500 in its first week, and debuted at #1 on the album charts. The album featured the hugely popular song "Phlex", as well as "Room To Breath" and "Blank". In 2003, the band won an Air New Zealand competition as the country's favourite band.

Blindspott’s second album ‘End the Silence’ followed suit in reaching #1 in 2006, making Blindspott "first New Zealand music act to have both their albums debut in the charts at Number 1". (Wikipedia)

The group disbanded in 2007, after 10 years together, and drummer Shelton Woolright went on to form "I Am Giant". In 2010, Damian Alexander (vocals), Marcus Powell (guitar, backing vocals), Gareth Fleming (bass) and Karl Vilisini (turntables, keyboards) reformed the band, but have had to refer to themselves as "Blacklist", due to a suit from Woolright over the name of the band.

Blacklist appeared at Homegrown in 2011.
