Sade Announces Australian Tour

Timeless and enduring, Sade will perform their first Australian shows in more than 20 years when they make a long overdue and much-awaited return this December for a series of indoor arena and open-air 'A Day on the Green' shows.

Sade will be performing in MelbourneMcLaren ValePerthSydneyHunter ValleyBrisbane and Yarra Valley.

The band bears the name of its stylish and enigmatic lead singer, Nigerian-born and UK–raised, Sade Adu.

More than 20 years has passed since Adu, Stuart Matthewman (guitar/saxophone), Andrew Hale (keyboards) and Paul Denman (bass) -- collectively known as Sade -- last gave Australian fans a live taste of their flawless blend of R&B, soul, jazz and soft rock.

Boasting visually stunning production elements the critically acclaimed 2011 world tour follows the 2010 release of Sade's sixth studio album, ‘Soldier of Love’, and has become one of the biggest success stories of the US concert business this summer, boasting unanimous critical raves and multiple sell-out shows in the major US cities, having already played to more than 400,000 US fans.

Tickets for all shows will go on sale 9am, Friday September 16.
