Bjork teams with Attenborough for film

Two of the most recognisable voices in the Western world, Sir David Attenborough and Iceland’s biggest export Bjork, have teamed up for a film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the feature, titled Attenborough and Bjork: The Nature of Music, is to be produced by Pulse Films, who were at the helm of Blur’s Grammy-nominated documentary No Distance Left To Run and Katy Perry’s recent tell-all affair Part Of Me.

Directed by Louise Hooper, the film explores the relationship between music and technology and how humans interact with it, and was inspired by Bjork's heavily technological album Biophilia.

The Nature of Music features Bjork showing off instruments that are highlighted in her live shows, including the pendulum harp, harpsicord and gameleste among others (don’t worry we didn’t know what the last one was either). Attenborough explores how music exists in the natural world, as well as delving into his own lifelong passion for the artform.

The film has been snapped by UK broadcasters Channel 4, however air dates are still to be announced.
