Chris Brown and Drake sued for $16 million

While Chris Brown and Drake have probably long forgotten that nightclub brawl back in June, a $16 million lawsuit will be sure to jog their memories.

The New York Post reports that Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., filed papers in Manhattan Supreme Court painting Brown and Drake as instigators of the all-in between their entourages.

The company own the trademark to the Greenhouse club name, the joint venue with WiP, and claim that their $4 million licensing deal was ruined due to bad press surrounding the incident.

According to the company, Drake and Brown should be held responsible for their lost profits, with their behaviour “beyond the bounds of reason.” The pair “should have foreseen that their notoriety and celebrity would ensure that their acts had far-reaching and devastating effects.”

The lawsuit details the stars’ active roles in the fracas. “On defendant Brown and defendant Drake’s instructions, their two posses had at each other, throwing highball glasses laden with alcohol, shattering the handles of bottles of spirits to use as makeshift knives, and even throwing full bottles at each other. Within seconds, defendants filled an already packed nightclub full of flying glass shrapnel,” reads the suit.

While the current owners of Greenhouse and WiP are not in Entertainment Enterprises, they have their own legal drama, with NBA athlete Tony Parker suing for $20 million over injuries sustained in the brawl.
