Gentlemen of the Road Stopover announced

Mumford & Sons have announced details of their new small town concept festival, Gentlemen of the Road Stopover, that will take place in Dungog NSW on Saturday 20 October.

Members of Mumford & Sons developed the Gentlemen of the Road Stopovers with the teams behind the Laneway Festival and Splendour in The Grass, in addition to their Australian tour, to perform in towns not heavily toured by bands to celebrate the local people and culture.

The Dungog camping stopover will feature Mumford & Sons as headliners of the festival, following the American folk-pop legends Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros and Willy Mason, as well as local gems Sarah Blasko,
Matt Corby, Husky, and Yacht Club DJs.

It is the only Gentlemen of the Road Stopover in Australia, following on from similar events in the UK, Ireland and the USA.

The single, ‘I Will Wait’ by Mumford & Sons has just been released, as anticipation rises for the new album Babel to be released on September 21.

The band says, “We wanted to make sure that the bands on the bill are friends old and new, we hope you enjoy them.”

Tickets to the Gentlemen of the Road Stopover go on sale at 9am on August 15.
