Lenny Kravitz to set up studio in Surfers Paradise

According to the Gold Coast Bulletin, Lenny Kravitz may open a recording studio in the billion dollar, six-star Jewel resort in Surfers Paradise.

Kravitz is reportedly in talks with developers RDG to set up a studio in one of the three top towers, which is hoped will attract international artists.

RDG's Steven Haggart, who is heading up the development, mentioned the negotiations during a talk at Griffith University Business School yesterday (hilariously referring to Kravitz as a 'brand' in the process).

"Lenny Kravitz has one of his recording studios in Miami and he was one of the brands we have been talking to. We also talked to people from the film industry and those who could come here to record."

He is hoping the presence of Kravitz and the artists who record at the studio will have a knock-on effect.

"They will bring in many more tourism benefits because everybody wants to stay where the stars are staying."
