Twisted Sister slam Republican VP hopeful

For the second time in just two weeks, a band has released a disgruntled statement to someone involved in the current US Republican presidential campaign.

Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider has spoken out against Mitt Romney’s running mate Paul Ryan, after he played the band’s 1984 hit We're Not Gonna Take It at a rally in Pennsylvania.

As reported by NME, Snider’s statement read: "I emphatically denounce Paul Ryan's use of my band Twisted Sister's song 'We're Not Gonna Take It' in any capacity. There is almost nothing he stands for that I agree with except the use of the [home exercise regime] P90X."

The team working for Ryan issued a one-line response via email: "We're not gonna play it anymore."

Last week Silversun Pickups issued a cease-and-desist order to Mitt Romney.
