Good news for people who like Blondie and aren't Sydney and surrounds based - a tour has been announced in addition to their Homebake appearance!
The lovely Deborah Harry and co. have noted that Australia has some serious love for the New Wave, post-punk, CBGBs originals and blessed Hobart, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Townsville and Brisbane with their own shows.
Special guests in tow will be punk pioneers, The Stranglers, of the UK at all shows, and The Saints from our very own Brisbane, except in Sydney, where stalwarts of Sydney's 1980s indepedent scene, The Machinations, will stand in.
Tickets go on sale 9am Tuesday 8 October, and with only one show per city, have those fingers poised on keyboards and keypads, 'cause these shows will sell out.
