Future Entertainment have announced The Chemical Brothers, M.I.A, Hot Chip and more will bring in the New Year at the 2013 Summadayze festival.
Having toured the nation for over a decade now, Future Entertainment director Brett Robinson told TMN the festival has always taken pleasure in growing local talent.
“On a local level we know there are so many great DJs and producers in Australia doing great things,” he says. “We want to discover them, help them develop, release their music and hopefully see them perform on our festival stages!”
With an “Aztec acid daydream” theme surrounding the December 31-January 6 event, Robinson told TMN the eclectic lineup will satiate every genre palate.
“For music fans, each year we present a selection of worlds the most diverse range of artists at our festivals each year. A lot of people discover acts and become their fans at our festivals. Others just have an amazing experience.
“We want to give them a way of living that festival experience each day via our label. Release music for them to listen to each day by the big acts they love, the emerging acts they love discovering and providing compilations and bundles of music under the Future Music banner they can trust is going to be what they want to listen to.”
In addition to Summadayze, the Chemical Brothers were also announced this morning as headliners of Shore Thing, the New Year's Eve party on Bondi Beach, alongside Fedde Le Grand and Knife Party.
