KISS and Mötley Crüe will be touring Australia together early next year to kickstart hearts and presumably rock 'n' roll all nite [sic] and party every day.
The boys will be back in town with Thin Lizzy in support, hitting up Perth, Adelaide (soz guys, no Thin Lizzy for you), Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Mackay, all shows being opened by female fronted rock band, Diva Demolition, begging the question of who will have the biggest hair and best make-up.
KISS made a name for themselves in the 70s, writing rock hits that smashed records made by The Beatles and Elvis, and dreaming up onstage antics like smoking guitars, blood spitting, fire breathing, levitating drum kits and face paint, making Ozzy Osbourne’s bat munching business pale in comparison.
Quintessential 80s glam metal band Mötley Crüe recently invaded Las Vegas with the city’s first ever hard rock residency, “Mötley Crüe in Sin City” leaving the loud impression that what happens in Vegas can be heard around the world, and presumably having a round or two on KISS’s golf course.
After the success of KISS and Mötley Crüe’s 45 date US Summer tour, Australia is finally getting the thumbs up from some of metal’s biggest names, bringing their sounds to a new generation, showing that their music has stood the test of time, nearly 40 years on.
They were made for loving you, and you were made for loving them - get your tickets from Thursday 22 November.
