Rocky Horror Show returns to Australia

This New Years Eve an all-Australian casting of the Rocky Horror Show musical has been confirmed to perform at the QPAC, Brisbane closely followed by seasons playing at the Crown Theatre, Perth in February and the Adelaide Festival Centre in March 2014.

Sydney and Melbourne are last on the tour lineup for a change and their venues are yet to be confirmed.

“It’s time to dust off the fishnets and do the Time Warp again,” producers said in a statement. "But be sure, this witty new production has many new twists. A classic that is fresh again."

According to Aussie Theatre, John Frost and Howard Panter are collaborating once more after recent success with their Legally Blonde adaptation to produce the Richard O’Brien cult classic. Having originally opened at London’s Royal Court Theatre on June 19, 1973 the Rocky Horror Show has become the one of the world's favourite rock 'n' roll musicals and this production will celebrate the show’s 40th anniversary.

Tickets go on sale on July 1 and auditions are about to start so don’t dream it – be it!
