Pete Doherty’s garage-rocking band, Babyshambles, have cancelled their Splendour sideshows, citing immigration issues as one of the factors.
While promoters claim the band are still set to take the stage at Splendour in the Grass festival next week, they will not be touring to other Australian cities on this trip.
"While we're disappointed the tour hasn't worked out this time, we're very excited about playing our new songs at Splendour In The Grass and we're hoping to reschedule the other shows for some time in the not too distant future," said the band in a statement.
The visit marks the very first time Pete Doherty and co. have made their way to our shores.
Babyshambles will release their long awaited third album, Sequel To The Prequel, in Australia on Friday 30 August.
