Legendary Melbourne band Models have returned to the studio for the first time since the sessions for their 1986 record Media.
The line-up features Sean Kelly, Andrew Duffield, Barton Price and Mark Ferrie, with James Freud tragically committing suicide in 2010, the same year the group were inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame.
Models enjoyed ten Top 50 singles, including the 1985 #1 hit Out Of Mind, Out Of Sight, the lead track from their biggest album, which hit #3.
Among their backing vocalists were Kate Ceberano and Wendy Matthews, the latter of whom dated Sean Kelly for eleven years, later forming the successful group Absent Friends with Kelly and Valentine, who hit #4 with the charming I Don't Want To Be With Nobody But You.
Models will road-test new songs (plus a wealth of catalogue material) on September 20 and 21 at Ding Dong Lounge, Melbourne.
