Trevor Noah Australian Tour

Trevor Noah is returning to Australia for his 2nd national Tour which will include a performance at the Just For Laughs Sydney Comedy Festival at the Sydney Opera House before heading around the country. HIs first tour of Australia in early 2013 was totally sold out. Trevor is also performing in PerthMelbourne and Brisbane.

Trevor Noah is a fascinating comedian from South Africa who has achieved international acclaim. Born a mixed-race child under Apartheid in South Africa (He was born to a black mum and a white, Swiss father – even though such relationships were illegal at the time), Noah challenges the status quo through his unique perspective, breaking down cultural flaws on all sides and finding our mutual connections through laughter and his eloquent storytelling.  The racial pecking order was so instilled in society that his own maternal grandfather called him ‘master’, even if it was tongue-in-cheek.

There are the inevitable lines about his twin heritage, but it’s true he’s inherited both the ballsy approach of his mother and the bone-dry sensibilities of his father. His best routines are not afraid to raise interesting points on contentious topics, but he tells them in a soft way, which makes them as thoughtful as they are funny.

Releasing five hour-long stand-up specials in South Africa, he’s sold more DVDs than any other standup on the continent and has amassed 3 million fans on Facebook and Twitter.

“This Comic is that good…Three words: Do Not Miss.” - Herald Sun

Over the last two years Trevor has had an unparalleled run of sold out shows across the world including his one man show at the Edinburgh Fringe (presented by Eddie Izzard), an unprecedented South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa tour, a 30-performance theatre run in Australia and New Zealand, 8 weeks of shows in New York City and finally, a UK and European theatre tour which included selling out the Hammersmith Apollo in London. On top of all that, he was the talk of the 2012 Montreal Comedy Festival with his weeklong sold out solo performances. "The Racist" (presented by British comedian Eddie Izzard) became one of the most talked about shows of the festival.

“You can see what prompted Eddie Izzard to want to produce him.... he performs with remarkable poise, scoring plenty of hits.... a great entertainer” - Times
