Frontier Touring are thrilled to confirm that UK four-piece Rudimental will return to Australia this November and December for a run of powerhouse headline performances in Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.
This news follows the announcement of the platinum-selling outfit’s keenly awaited sophomore album We The Generation(out 18 September via Asylum Records). Debut album Homewas released in 2013 to huge acclaim, reaching #2 on the ARIA Album Chart and earning Rudimental a Mercury Prize nomination and BRIT Single of the Year Award win for ‘Waiting All Night’ (ft. Ella Eyre).
Both featuring the soulful vocals of crooner John Newman, ‘Feel The Love’ achieved triple-platinum certification and climbed to #3 on the ARIA singles chart while its successor ‘Not Giving In’ was certified double-platinum and became the home game anthem for AFL’s Port Adelaide Power throughout 2014.
We The Generation marks the continued evolution of Rudimental’s blockbuster and soulful sound. Latest single ‘Never Let You Go’ (ft. Foy Vance) perfectly references the euphoric drum and bass anthems of their debut whilst soaring to new heights. The film clip brings the track to life as we travel to multiple cultures in various cities across the planet, invoking themes of unity that suggest how We The Generation is set to take Rudimental’s message global.
The forthcoming album also includes the smash hit Ed Sheeran collaboration ‘Bloodstream’ and the future classic ‘New Day Coming’ which features vocals from the late great Bobby Womack, one of the last tracks that the soul singer recorded vocals for before his passing.
The sheer enormity of Rudimental’s sound is made for the live stage and sees the band break through the boundaries of audience and performer to come together as one exhilarated collective.
Their live achievements have seen the band headline three sold out shows at Brixton Academy, support Ed Sheeran on his US, UK and upcoming sold out Australian stadium tours and perform on the Pyramid Stage at the iconic Glastonbury Festival.
