Still afloat on the success of their 2015 headline tour, American alt-pop duo Twenty One Pilots will hit Australian roads once again for their third and biggest tour to date.
The duo are set to bring the house down in Sydney, not once but twice, with their two-consecutive shows in the city. Melbourne will also see two nights of rambunctious performance from Twenty One Pilots before they head out to Brisbane and Perth for the final lap of the tour.
Twenty One Pilots have gone way too far since the release of their self-titled LP and albums Vessel in 2013 and US #1 Blurryface in 2015. Initially performing on club shows, the duo rapidly snatched festival slots and performed before thousands of punters. Having a sold out Blurryface Tour last year, 2016 is expected to be another massive year for the duo.
Twenty One Pilots return to Australia for all-ages shows in April - May, after winding up a string of European shows. They'll be staging a debut headline show in Perth and will be gracing Groovin' The Moo festival as well.
In 2014, Twenty One Pilots made a noise in the music scene after playing an electrifying run of sold-out shows off the back of their Blurryface album, which currently has a total sales of more than 1,500,000 copies worldwide - topping no. 1 on the US Billboard Top 200. Meantime, It notched the 11th spot on the ARIA Albums Chart.
Now the duo serve their latest single ‘Stressed Out’, which delves on the stagnation between adolescence and adulthood - a period defined by pressures old and new. The track quickly achieved platinum status in the US while currently sitting at no. 3 on the ARIA Singles Chart. Boasting more than 130 million streams on Spotify, Stressed Out definitely captures the hearts of music lovers.
