Gregory Porter Plays Two Intimate Australian Shows In September

Grammy winning jazz, soul and gospel singer Gregory Porter will perform two very special and intimate shows with his band this September, off the back of his critically acclaimed fourth studio album, Take Me To The Alley (May 2016), released on the iconic Blue Note record label. He will mesmerise audiences in Sydney and Melbourne with his powerful vocals.

Take Me To the Alley, the much-anticipated follow-up to the singer's sensational 2013 Blue Note debut Liquid Spirit, is currently sitting at No.1 on the Billboard Jazz Album Chart and notched up No.1 spot on Apple Music Jazz Album Charts across 6 continents. Gregory Porter collaborated with U.K. electronica act Disclosure in ‘Holding On’, the album's opening track, which has introduced Porter’s music to a new audience.

Gregory Porter’s incredible talent continues to earn him accolades and opportunities worldwide including a slot on Glastonbury Festival on 26th June. Gregory Porter bagged a Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal album for Liquid Spirit (2013) which sold a million copies worldwide, and has shared the stage with legendary artists including Van Morrison and Stevie Wonder. Porter recently led a tribute to Prince on the Later…with Jools Holland program in April 2016 and performed ‘What a Wonderful World’ for David Attenborough's 90th birthday in May 2016.

These not to be missed performances will be the last chance for Australian fans to see Gregory Porter in such an intimate setting.
