Grammy Winning Vocal Sensations Pentatonix Return To Australia This September

Following their sold-out debut 2014 tour, Grammy-winning, multi-platinum selling vocal sensations Pentatonix make their way back to Australia this September for their most extensive tour of the country to date.

Get ready for a deluge of harmony, rhythm and melodies as Pentatonix showcase their incredible talents in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne.

A worldwide phenomenon, Pentatonix have sold more than 3.2 million albums in the US alone, snatched up two Grammy Awards, sold out venues across the globe and appeared in the feature film Pitch Perfect 2.

2016 will see the group tour through Europe, the UK, Japan, North America and South East Asia in addition to Australia and New Zealand.

Since breaking into prominence in 2011, Pentatonix have revolutionised instrument-free music, igniting a massive global following in the process. Their YouTube channel amassed a whopping 1.57 billion views and 10.7 million subscribers.

Based in Arlington Texas, harmonic trio Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi and Kirstin Maldonado first bonded as high school choir-mates, later recruiting bass Avi Kaplan and beatboxer Kevin Olusola to form Pentatonix.

Their music is defined by their own arrangement style, an unexpected stylistic range that effortlessly jumps from one genre to another, tight vocal blending, deep and steady vocal basslines, and a diverse range of vocal percussion and beatboxing.

All seven Pentatonix releases skyrocketed to the Top 5 on Billboard’s Digital Albums Chart with six of those releases reaching the Top 10 or higher on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart.

The group has just recently received gold certifications for their ‘Daft Punk’ medley and cover of Imagine Dragons’ ‘Radioactive’ (ft. Lindsey Stirling), while That’s Christmas To Me was the fourth bestselling album of 2014 in America with double platinum certification.

Last year, Pentatonix delivered their fourth self-titled studio album (out now via Sony Music Australia). The most recent single from the album ‘If I Ever Fall In Love’ (ft. Jason Derulo) has already collected 4.5 million video streams in the short time since its premiere.

With a penchant for selling out shows in record time, fans need to be careful not to damage their vocal chords 'cause Pentatonix are sure to leave them cheering wildly at every song.
