Jet Reissue Vinyl Albums and Reunite For a Series of Shows

One of Australia's most successful rock bands of all time, Jet, have reissued their first two vinyl albums Get Born and Shine On digitally and on CD. The reissues come with rare previously unreleased digitally re-mastered recordings from each period. In addition, the band will be headlining two shows in Sydney, with the first one already sold out.

“We'd sit around on beer crates in our early days at first the pub we played at making our first moves. Nic always used to say if the song is good you can do anything with it. This was a wild time, and a really creative period. These demo recordings and b-sides were lost for years but then re-appeared down the line somehow. I love these songs dearly, even the unfinished ones”, said drummer, vocalist and song writer Chris Cester of the reissues and bonus tracks.

Forming in 2001, Jet easily captured the world's attention. They sold more than 6.5 million albums globally and secured 10x Platinum certification in Australia and Platinum in the USA and UK for their 2003 debut album Get Born. The album featured classic singles including 'Are You Gonna Be My Girl', 'Rollover DJ', and 'Look What You've Done' and netted the band 6 x 2004 ARIA awards. Both 'Are You Gonna Be My Girl' and 'Cold Hard B*tch' topped the US Modern Rock singles charts and propelled the band to the top of festival bills and charts around the world.

In 2006, Jet were named APRA’s Songwriters of The Year and for three years running 'Are You Gonna Be My Girl' was the most performed Australian song overseas.

Their follow up album Shine On followed in 2006 and spawned another collection of melodic rockers including 'Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is', 'Bring It On Back' and 'Rip It Up', and reached platinum status in Australia on the back of stand-out headline shows around the world, and an unforgettable Big Day Out run in 2007.

Apart from the reissues and headline shows, Jet, will also be guesting on the Melbourne, Mt Macedon and the Hunter Valley stops of the Bruce Springsteen tour.
