Matrix and Futurebound To Tour Australia This January To February

Get ready for a shower of thumping beats and heavy bass as English D&B duo, Matrix and Futurebound, conquer Australia this January to February. They will be performing in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane plus appearing in Perth as part of the line up for Hidden Festival.

Possessing one of the most impressive track records in drum and bass history, with four consecutive UK Top 40 tracks including hits ‘All I Know’, ‘Magnetic Eyes’, ‘Don’t Look Back’ and the legendary ‘Control’ under their name, it is safe to say that the duo have been setting industry standards since they first collaborated in 2005.

Matrix and Futurebound not only ruled the airwaves globally, they have also delivered some of the last decade's biggest club records, producing club bangers like 'Glow Worm', Shadows' (w/ Tantrum Desire) and the recently released, 'Scatterbrain'. These tracks earn respect of their peers with radio support from the likes of Friction, affirming the production duo two of the most respected names in the business.

The duo just launched their new single ‘Fire’ featuring Max Marshall in November. With ‘Control’ reaching #7 on the UK’s top 40 Singles chart and accumulating over 5.4 million views on UKF and Liquicity’s YouTube channels combined, it’s clear that Matrix and Futurebound and Max Marshall are forces to be reckoned with when paired up in the studio. ‘Fire’ is a powerful feel-good track that features Max Marshall's stunning vocals and is sure to catapult Matrix and Futurebound into the public eye and re-affirm them as true pioneers of the scene.

Prior to joining forces in 2007, both members enjoyed individual success. Matrix broke into the scene with the techno-infused Sleepwalk album on Virus Recordings before crashing into the charts at #6 with ‘It’s Love (Trippin’)’ under his house pseudonym GoldTrix. Meanwhile, Futurebound made his mark on labels such as Moving Shadow, Infrared and Timeless before launching the influential Viper Recordings in 2004 that has gone from strength to strength, breaking some of the most cutting edge acts in the scene.

The critically acclaimed Universal Truth (2007) is the duo’s first album together that offered a skillful fusion of epic melodic soundscapes with heavyweight dance-floor production and original vocals which not only gained huge popularity in the DnB scene but also saw tracks like 'American Beauty', 'Skyscraper' and 'Coast to Coast' receive huge support from the likes of Annie Mac, Zane Lowe and Pete Tong.

Creamfields, EDC UK and USA, Global Gathering, Liquicity, Secret Garden Party, Nocturnal Festival, Let It Roll, Brixton Academy, Womb (Tokyo) and the Viper:Live shows worldwide have been just some of the highlights of the duos many live shows over the last 12 months.
