Placebo Hit Australian Roads This September To Celebrate 20th Anniversary of Their Debut Album

Acclaimed English alternative-rock band Placebo return to our shores this September to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of their self-titled debut album.

Last here in 2014 for Soundwave Festival and a pair of sideshows, frontman Brian Molko and guitarist Stefan Olsdal will be bringing their signature androgynous look and punky raw sound to capital cities kicking off at the Perth Arena. They will then make their way to Adelaide Entertainment Centre and Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne before wowing fans in Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena. Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre will be their next stop. Meanwhile, Newcastle Entertainment Centre and Canberra's AIS Arena will host the final two shows for the tour.

Placebo was formed in London, England in 1994. Fast forward 2017, they now boast an astounding discography of hits, seven studio albums and a soaring 14 million record sales across the globe. Their win at the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards for 'Best Alternative Act' along with other awards and nominations further validates them as a major force in the music industry. They are currently riding on their compilation album called 'A Place For Us To Dream' which was released last 2016.

The band will be supported by their fellow English alternative rockers, Deaf Havana, as they play their greatest hits including tracks that they haven't played live in a long time. Deaf Havana were formed in 2005 in Norfolk, England. They are currently riding on their fourth album 'All These Countless Nights'. Excited? That's just a peak of what's coming next month!

Catch Placebo, live this September and count yourselves in for an astonishing, intense and spine-tingling musical experience!
