Jimmy Barnes Embarks On A 30-Date Australian Tour Next Year

Australian rock legend Jimmy Barnes is set to again bring audiences to tears this March to May 2018 with his ‘Working Class Man Tour’ in support of his second memoir of the same title. The mammoth 30-date trek will kick off at Wollongong's Anita's Theatre then will head down to Canberra Theatre Centre, Devonport Entertainment & Convention Centre, Country Club Tasmania and Wrest Point Entertainment Centre. The rest of the NSW shows will follow, stopping at Mudgee's Parklands Resort, Civic Theatre Newcastle and Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre plus a performance at the Sydney Town Hall and The Saraton Theatre in Grafton.

Jimmy will also be visiting Queensland, with shows at the Brisbane City Hall, Empire Theatres in Toowoomba, The Star Gold Coast, Tanks Arts Centre in Cairns, Townsville Entertainment & Convention Centre, Mackay Exhibition and Convention Centre, Pilbeam Theatre in Rockhampton and The Events Centre in Caloundra. Western and South Australia will also hear Jimmy's inspiring stories, as the touring national treasure will also be gracing Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre, Perth Concert Hall, Port Pirie's Keith Michell Theatre and Adelaide's Thebarton Theatre.

The last few dates will be in Victoria, with shows at the Frankston Arts Centre, Costa Hall in Geelong, Palais Theatre in Melbourne and Ulumbarra Theatre in Bendigo. Finally, Jimmy will cap the tour at the Darwin Entertainment Centre.

A sequel to “A Working Class Boy”, Jimmy talks about his entire adult life in “Working Class Man”—chronicling his ups and downs, recalling his days with Cold Chisel and making wild confessions about drug and alcohol abuse and how he got over it. Combining the honesty of spoken word and the sincerity of his music, Jimmy will bring all these stories together on stage for hours of recollection and emotions.

Don't miss one of Australia's most-revered artists baring his heart and soul once again through stories and songs this 2018!
