That Australia supports marriage equality is what YesFest will echo on Sunday, 29 October as it gathers the country's biggest artists and entertainment personalities on one stage for a benefit concert in support of the said cause.
The stadium blowout will be broadcast nationally and live-streamed globally. It promises to deliver never-before-seen and never-seen-again collabs and special performances. Some of the artists confirmed to perform include Client Liaison, Nic Cester (Jet), The Preatures, Northeast Party House, Elizabeth Rose, Flight Facilities (DJ), Heaps Gay DJs, Jack Colwell, Kirin J Callinan, Killing Heidi, KLP, Megan Washington, Tkay Maidza, Touch Sensitive and own very own legend Jimmy Barnes. More acts will be announced soon.
Jimmy Barnes said of the concert: “When I was asked to do this show I jumped at the chance to say Yes because I believe in marriage equality. Love is love and if you are lucky enough to find the one you love, why should anyone be able to tell you—you can’t get married. It’s a basic human right.”
YesFest encourages Australians to vote "Yes" to marriage equality.
