Portugal. The Man To Play Australian Headline Shows This May

After releasing their eighth studio album 'Woodstock', Alaskan rock outfit Portugal. The Man will be hitting the East Coast this May, playing a trio of shows in between their Groovin The Moo performances. Kicking off at Sydney's Enmore Theatre, John Gourley and company will head their way to The Forum in Melbourne and then to The Tivoli Theatre in Brisbane for the last show.

Released in June last year under Atlantic Records, ‘Woodstock’ is dubbed as their most socially conscious material so far. It deals with the tumultuous present we live in. The album’s lead single ‘Feel It Still’ earned the band their first Billboard number one, topping both the Alternative Songs and the Adult Alternative Songs charts. The track also won the ‘Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 60th Grammy Awards.

Forming in early 2000s, Portugal. The Man rocked the music scene with hits like ‘Modern Jesus’, ‘So American’, ‘People Say’, ‘Sleep Forever’ and recently, songs from their new album. Before heading down under, the band will first be killing their set at Coachella Music Festival this April—now that's enough to say that 2018 is already a massive a year for them.
