Demetri Martin Tours Australia With His 'Wandering Mind Tour' This June

US comedy legend Demetri Martin is hitting Aussie stages this June with his world-acclaimed 'Wandering Mind Tour', marking his first ever visit since 2011. Launching at the Adelaide Town Hall, the tour will head its way to the Gold Coast's Home of the Arts, Sydney's Enmore Theatre and Canberra Theatre Centre before wrapping up at Perth's Astor Theatre. Following the AU dates, Demetri will be flying to New Zealand for shows at Christchurch's Aurora Centre for the Performing Arts, Auckland Town Hall and Wellington's The Opera House.

Demetri Martin is a standup comedian, director, artist and writer. He started doing standup comedy in New York City, where he worked as a staff writer for 'Late Night with Conan O'Brien'. He then became a regular performer on 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'.

An award-winning comic, Demetri won the Perrier Award at the International Fringe Festival in Edinburgh for his one-man show 'If I' as well as Australia's Barry Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for his show 'Dr. Earnest Parrot Presents Demetri Martin'. He has also released three standup comedy albums and four hour-long standup comedy specials including his latest for Netflix, 'The Overthinker'.

Demetri created and starred in his own television series for Comedy Central called 'Important Things With Demetri Martin'. His books 'This Is a Book' and 'Point Your Face at This' are New York Times Bestsellers. His latest book 'If It's Not Funny It's Art' features a collection of his original drawings. His fiction has appeared in The New Yorker, Esquire, and The New York Times Magazine. He recently wrote and directed his first feature film 'Dean' which bagged the Founder's Prize at the Tribeca Film Festival for best narrative American feature film.
