Hugh Jackman Announces Aussie Leg Of His 'The Man. The Music. The Show.' World Tour

Academy Award® nominated, Golden Globe, Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer-actor Hugh Jackman is coming home this August as part of his 'The Man. The Music. The Show.' World Tour. Performing hit songs from his Broadway and film projects like 'Les Misérables' and of course 'The Greatest Showman' and backed up by a live orchestra, Jackman will set off the tour at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena, then will head his way to Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena and Perth's RAC Arena before culminating at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. Following the AU run, he will head down to New Zealand for an exclusive show at the Spark Arena in Auckland.

That Hugh Jackman is as successful on stage in front of live crowds as he is on film is an undeniable fact. From his award-winning turn on Broadway as the 1970s singer-songwriter Peter Allen, to the metal claw-wielding Wolverine in the blockbuster 'X-Men' franchise, Jackman has proven to be one of the most versatile actors of our time.

Jackman's performance in Tom Hooper's 'Les Misérables'—based on the popular stage show created from Victor Hugo's famous novel of the same name—brought in his first Academy Award® nomination for Best Actor. His scene stealing performance as protagonist Jean Valjean also earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Comedy/Musical, as well as Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award® nominations (for both Best Ensemble and Best Male Actor in a Leading Role) and a BAFTA Award nomination. Most recently, he was nominated for his role as P.T. Barnum in 'The Greatest Showman'.

Making a very special guest appearance on the Australian tour is singer-actress Keala Settle who will perform the Academy Award® nominated and Golden Globe Award-winning song 'This Is Me' from 'The Greatest Showman' and more. 'This Is Me' became an explosive anthem of self-acceptance, propelling the soundtrack to the top of the charts worldwide. The 2018 Academy Awards saw Keala brought the entire audience to their feet with her performance of the song that The New York Times applauded as "commanding" and a perfect summation of "what became the themes of the night—diversity, empowerment, [and] inclusion."

Hugh Jackman will pierce your hearts with his every performance this August, much like how Wolverine's claws cut through the flesh. Don't miss out!
