Snow Patrol Descend Down Under This August With 'Live & Acoustic' Show

British alternative rockers Snow Patrol are flying down to Australia this August for their 'Live & Acoustic' show. Audiences at Perth Concert Hall will be treated first to a night of acoustic goodness then the band will proceed to Queensland Performing Arts Centre and Melbourne's Palais Theatre before the final two shows in Sydney—one at the Sydney Opera House and another at the Enmore Theatre. Apart from the AU dates, the band will also be in New Zealand for an exclusive show at Auckland's ASB Theatre.

The band will perform down under as a three-piece featuring singer and guitarist Gary Lightbody, Johnny McDaid on ‎guitar, piano and vocals and Nathan Connolly also on guitar and vocals. Part of the setlist are classic hits from their albums including 'Run', 'Open Your Eyes', and 'Chasing Cars'. The band will also be performing songs from their 2018 release 'Wildness', which was their first studio album in seven years.

More than two decades in the business, Snow Patrol have carved out a unique place for themselves. Since their 1998 debut 'Songs for Polarbears', which Pitchfork hailed as "an impressive piece of work", their melancholy anthems of heartbreak and separation have mended hearts and touched souls. The band have emerged as musical prophets striking a chord in the minds and memories of listeners over six ground-breaking, confessional albums.

The band have also racked up an impressive number of critical and commercial accolades, including 15 million global album sales, over one billion global track streams, five UK Platinum Albums, as well as Grammy Award and Mercury Music Prize nominations. With an equally huge following here, Snow Patrol have been omnipresent across Aussie airwaves for decades, have received eight Platinum ARIA accreditations not to mention that they continue to be one of Australia's biggest selling international artists.

Don't just lay there—chase those tickets and catch Snow Patrol live this August!
