Energy Mines and Money conference shelved due to virus threat

In light of recent and evolving global developments and the increasing uncertainty around travel and large scale events, the upcoming Energy Mines and Money conference, scheduled to take place this June 1–2 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, has been postponed.

Part of the statement of the event promoter Beacon Events reads:

"As COVID-19 continues to disrupt people, businesses, and countries around the world, we believe this is the responsible action to take in these unprecedented circumstances. This decision comes after much deliberation and consultation with industry stakeholders and key partners, all of whom have strongly endorsed our decision to ensure the health, safety, and collective interests of our attendees, partners, and employees.

We are continuing to monitor developments both in Australia and around the globe and will proceed with the event once it is again safe to do so, following the recommendations made by global and local health authorities.

We are currently working to find a suitable alternative date and will notify when we have further updates. By moving the event, we are uniquely positioned to aid our customers and their businesses in the global economic recovery."

The organisation also thanked all its customers and partners for their continued support and stressed that they will still be running a series of webinars and other information portals via their content site, Mining Beacon. This is part of their continous commitment to provide "a platform to help you meet industry challenges and facilitate meetings with decision makers."
