International superstar André Rieu is thrilled to be returning to Australia with a brand new Arena Tour 2016, performing in Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. André Rieu is quite simply a musical phenomenon like no other. The Dutch King of Waltz is the world’s most successful violinist ever having sold a massive 40 million CDs and DVDs. Along with his Johann Strauss Orchestra, André has created a global revival in waltz music, staging spectacular extravaganzas which are second to none.

On stage André’s incredible musical prowess, passion, charisma and humour make for a magical spectacle. Having first picked up a violin at the age of five, Andre Rieu began his fascination with orchestra from a very young age. Fulfilling his childhood dreams, he and his orchestra have performed throughout Europe, in North America, and Asia, and have acquired a number of accolades, including two World Music Awards.

Their recordings have gone Gold and Platinum in worldwide, while he’s considered a music icon in his home country of the Netherlands.
