An Evening With Henry Rollins
After his last sold out tour in 2012, Henry Rollins returns to Australian shores this September to bring to life his first all talking affair.
Kicking off in Springwood, the tour will visit Milton, Canberra and Wollongong then will stop by Newcastle, Darwin, and Lismore. After two consecutive shows in Brisbane, the tour will head down to Hobart then will stay in Melbourne for two nights before heading out to Alice Springs, and Adelaide. Perth will also see two amusing nights of performances before Henry wraps it all up in Margaret River.
Henry, as you would expect, has been busy in the past few years. He has made a number of TV series for National Geographic, and the History Channel, had his first starring role in a feature film ‘He Never Died’, and been a part of one of the greatest live music/silent film projects ever undertaken, along side the likes of Grace Jones, Lemmy, Iggy Pop and many more legends of the game in Gutterdämmerung.
Traveling the world alone with his insatiable curiosity, Henry has been known as a spoken word artist, as frontman for both Grammy Award nominated Rollins Band and Black Flag, both favoring road-less-traveled locales in places such as Nepal, Sri Lanka, Siberia, North Korea, South Sudan and Iran and now...Australia!
Playing across multiple arts genres, Henry truly epitomises a Renaissance workaholic. He is an actor (Sons of Anarchy, He Never Died, Gutterdämmerung), voice over artist, author (over 25 books), photographer (Occupants) columnist (LA Weekly, Rolling Stone Australia), TV host (Nattional Geographic, History Channel, IFC), radio DJ (KCRW), activist and spoken word performer (delivering countless shows around the world).
In 2014 he was awarded the prestigious Ray Bradbury Creativity Award in recognition for his lifelong contribution to the arts, his passion for social activism, as well as his love for maintaining books and libraries.
“Thought-provoking, entertaining and exhilarating, the man is a force to be reckoned with.” - The Daily Telegraph
“Rollins’ emphatic, honest and honestly funny performance is a unique and fulfilling experience.” - Fasterlouder
