Ruby Boots - I Miss You Already Tour

Ruby Boots announces the addition of new shows to the extensive 2016 "I Miss You Already" Tour, set to take in Australia, Asia and the USA across the first half of 2016.

Highlights of Ruby Boots 2016 tour include four headline shows in Australia, performing in Melbourne, Port Fairy, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, Parkville, Tamworth, Bathurst, Mosman, Echuca and Perth. This is the last chance for Aussie audiences to catch her live for some time before she heads overseas.

The new announcements include an additional show at Tamworth Music Festival with The Waifs on Wed 3 Feb and a spot at Melbourne’s celebrated White Night Festival on Sat 20 Feb.

Ruby Boots will kick off the local headline gigs at Northcote Social Club on 10 March with guests Big Smoke as well as a special set from three singer-songwriters Tim Easton (USA), Mallar Jukes and Emilee South. Ruby says,

“The three songwriters will play song for song in a "Songwriter in the Round" set up. After touring Australia fairly heavily over the past two years, I have come to fall in love with so many great songwriters around the country, it was to hard just pick one to open!. They’ll be followed by one of my favourite melbourne bands "Big Smoke" who we shared the stage with at last years Out On The Weekend festival. It was hard enough to pick four guests, but it will make for a jam packed night full of kick arse songs!"

Following her Melbourne show, Ruby Boots plays in Adelaide at Wheatsheaf Hotel (17 March) with support act Hana Brenecki; in Sydney at Newtown Social Club (18 March), with support sets from James Thomson and Belle Harvey; in Brisbane at The Milk Factory (19 March) with support act Jen Mize.

Other highlights on the 2016 touring calendar include support shows with The Waifs in Melbourne, Tamworth, Bathurst and Sydney; festival spots at Riverboats Music Festival and Port Fairy Folk Music Festival in Australia and the Miri Country Music Festival in Borneo, plus her epic tour of the US across April- May. Add in there a support gig with Taj Mahal at The Astor Theatre in Perth, and the heat continues to turn up for Australia’s fastest rising Americana artist.

Ruby Boots has captured the attention of the local and international music community following the rapturous reception of her debut album Solitude, released on the Lost Highway record label, which garnered rave reviews and picked up feature record status on PBS, RRR and RTR.

The new record was awarded “Best Of” status on many a 2015 list, including Post To Wire - Top 40 Albums; Timber and Steel - Top 25 Albums; Unpaved Best Loved Releases of 2015; Americana Australia's Top 10 Albums; Timber and Steel - Top 25 Tracks - Wrap Me In A Fever; Rhythms Magazine - Writers Poll 2015 Top Albums; Australian Rules.com - Rick Kane; The Best Antipodean Releases of 2015 - The International Americana Show; RTR FM top 100 Played Songs - Middle Of Nowhere; and PBS Five Feet High and Rising - Songs from Favourite 2015 Albums - Middle Of Nowhere.

"I am ecstatic to be heading out around Australia again. Touring is like breathing for me. This tour is named after that feeling I got when I came home after our last show which was AWME in Melbourne in Nov ('15). After non stop touring all year, I missed it so much already and I had barely stepped off the plane so luckily this tour was in the pipeline to keep me going. I'll be playing songs off the Solitude album with special guests joining me on stage, some amazing support acts across the tour, and a couple of new songs to break in. I'm keen to hear what everyone thinks of the newbies as I'm writing for a new album. It's always special heading back out on the road, playing to our Aussie audience is what we have been living for for quite some time, and I am stoked to see it growing! See you all along the way." - Ruby

2016 is sure to see the momentum climbing skyward.
