20 Years of Placebo Australian Tour 2017

Looks like Australia is in for an extraordinary kind of placebo effect this September as the acclaimed English band Placebo return to our shores in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the release of their debut album 'Placebo'.

Last here in 2014 for Soundwave Festival and a pair of sideshows, this year's Australian tour will see frontman Brian Molko and guitarist Stefan Olsdal bring their signature androgynous look and punky raw sound in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane as well as in Newcastle and Canberra.

Placebo was formed in London, England in 1994. Fast forward 2017, they now boast an astounding discography of hits, seven studio albums and a soaring 14 million record sales across the globe. Their win at the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards for 'Best Alternative Act' along with other awards and nominations further validates them as a major force in the music industry. They are currently riding on their compilation album called 'A Place For Us To Dream' which was released last 2016.

The band will be supported by their fellow English alternative rockers, Deaf Havana, as they play their greatest hits including tracks that they haven't played live in a long time. Deaf Havana were formed in 2005 in Norfolk, England. They are currently riding on their fourth album 'All These Countless Nights'. Excited? That's just a peak of what's coming next month!

Astonishing, intense and spine-tingling—these are the only words we can think of to describe a Placebo show so check the dates below and catch Placebo, live this September!
