Mashd N Kutcher have indeed grown from local DJs, to one of the most prominent electronic acts in all the world today. Having just released their newest single 'Pretend' ft. Park Avenue, the boys are currently winding up a mammoth world tour, stopping by Australia this April.
The duo will be performing in Southbank, Sydney, Newcastle, Mulwala, Brisbane and Gymea. Apart from these shows, they will also be headlining this year's Bring It On Festival as well as performing at Cool For Summer Festival in Homebush and Melbourne.
Since meeting each other in 2014, the classically trained pianist and drummer, merged as a duo, with a mission to defy the conventions of electronic dance music. They created a concept for a live show that brings a new life to nightclubs and mainstages worldwide. Since 2013, Mashd N Kutcher have seen more success than many DJs see in a lifetime, with a social following that built from nothing to now more than 1 million Facebook followers, a weekly spot on one of Australia’s largest national commercial stations, as well as multiple sold-out tours each year across Australia, Asia, New Zealand, North America, South America and Europe.
While their live-shows light up the dance floors, their music has been keeping Australia’s airwaves busy. With their two Platinum and Gold selling records ‘Do It Now’ and ‘My Sunshine,’ a track that came in as ‘#1 Most Played Record’ on Australian Radio in February by an Australian artist and reached #5 overall on iTunes. ‘Do It Now’ reached over 1 million plays on YouTube alone and was added to every major commercial station across the country.
Unless you've been living free from social media, there is no doubt Mashd N Kutcher would have appeared in your newsfeed one time or another. The pair have one of Australia’s biggest social reaches online in music, with each video clocking tens of millions of views, leaving the boys with over 250 million video views all in all, winning them praise and partnerships from globally recognised brands such as Pizza Hut, Subway and Optus to name a few and international media coverage on some of the world’s biggest news outlets including: The Discovery Channel, CBS, Good Morning America and Inside Edition.
The boys, currently signed to Universal Music Group and BMG, boast impressive social media stats. They have 1 million followers on Facebook, 50 thousand Instagrammers, a whopping 100,000 viewers on Snapchat and over 200,000 YouTube subscribers.
