An Evening With Steven Wilson

Kaleidoscope of colours, avant-garde musicality and outlandish stage antics—these are what probably best describe a Steven Wilson live concert. These same things are what fans in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne will experience this November as the art-rock architect returns down under to showcase another set of otherworldly live shows. After his Aussie dates, he will head to New Zealand for a one-off show in Auckland.

Each show will see Steven treating aficionados to three hours of bewitching music, complete with all the spectacular electronics, haunting instrumentations and an overall eccentric atmosphere. Part of his repertoire will be songs from his solo catalogue—including tracks from his latest album ‘To The Bones’—as well as classic hits from his former band, the legendary Porcupine Tree. He will be joined by his solo band composed of Alex Hutchings (guitar), Nick Beggs (bass), Adam Holzman (keyboards) and Craig Blundell (drums).

“Wilson is one of the most prolific and unrivalled artists of our time.” - Planet Rock

“Who needs drugs when you can have your mind blown by the King of Prog?” - Maximum Volume Music

Steven Wilson is definitely a musical genius—being a multi-instrumentalist, self-taught composer, sound engineer and of course, a composer. Although he has done quite so many musical projects throughout his over 30-year career, he has been most popularly known as the founder, lead singer and songwriter of the rock band Porcupine Tree which disbanded in 2010. Keeping a low key profile, Steven has been tagged by UK’s The Telegraph as “probably the most successful British artist you’ve never heard of.”
