Dylan Moran – Dr Cosmos Tour in Tasmania
Legendary Irish comedian, actor, writer and artist Dylan Moran is flying back to Aussie shores this October through to December with his brand-new show, 'Dr Cosmos'. He will launch the tour in Wollongong then will take on dates in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Launceston, Hobart, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin, Cairns, the Gold Coast, Newcastle and Brisbane. Before the AU dates, Dylan will also be performing in New Zealand, with shows in Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Auckland and Hamilton.
The massive trip will see Moran once again offering his unique take on love, politics, misery and the everyday absurdities of life, all served with poetical panache. Moran has been called the Oscar Wilde of comedy and his famed style—deadpan, witty and crackpot lyricism—makes every performance both unmissable and remarkable at the same time.
Dylan Moran made history in 1996 at the Edinburgh Fringe after becoming the youngest ever winner of the Perrier Award. He went on to co-write and star in 'Black Books' which won two BAFTAs. Other notable screen roles include 'Notting Hill', 'Calvary', 'Shaun of the Dead' and Run 'Fatboy Run'. Moran has extensively toured the world many times, bringing versions of his show to venues as far afield as Kazakhstan, Ukraine and across the US. His last tour 'Off the Hook' took in 149 dates worldwide.
"Trumping Shakespeare, he reduces life to four ages: "Child, failure, old and dead". Faced with one-liners as killing as that the world suddenly seems a better place." - The Telegraph
"High-octane riffs from Irish master of grumpiness…spellbinding." - Evening Standard
"In his heightened ideas and vocabulary, Moran compulsively swerves clichés as he builds up layers of laughs…funny and fascinating, and utterly deserving of his place in the modern classics." - The Times
Check the dates below and let Dylan Moran cure all your loneliness and sorrow with his 'Dr Cosmos' tour!
