Herman's Hermits – The 6 O'Clock Hop Tour 2019

English beat rock band Herman's Hermits are embarking on a massive Australian tour this August through to September as part of their 2019 '6 O'Clock Hop' world tour. August will see them performing in Adelaide, Port Pirie, Whyalla, Tanunda, Bundaberg, Maryborough, Brisbane, Redcliffe, Lismore, Tamworth, Taree, Canberra and Griffith. Come September, the band will be heading to Wagga Wagga, Wangaratta, Bendigo, Dandenong, Melbourne and Warragul.

Herman's Hermits first toured Australia in 1966 on the 'Caravan of Stars 66' tour with Tom Jones in support. Since 1971 and the departure of Peter Noone to pursue a solo career, the group have never stopped. Original member Barry Whitwam has guided the band from strength to strength into one of the hardest working acts in the business—they still average over 200 concerts per year.

Just last year, they had Aussie fans experience the concept of '6 O'Clock Hop' for the first time, playing four shows to more than 15000 people. Promoter Layton Lillas of Showcase Entertainment Group explains, "Our idea was to put the show on at the more convenient time in the winter months of August and September at 6pm, where audience members are encouraged to get an early dinner and enjoy a 2-hour show packed full of hits and fun, in the knowledge they'll be safely home at a reasonable time."

Being one of the biggest bands to emerge from the 60's British Invasion, the band hold a thick catalogue of hits including their Australian No. 1s—'Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter' and 'No Milk Today' plus eight more Top 10 songs including 'I'm Henry VIII', 'There's a Kind of Hush', 'A Must to Avoid',' Silhouettes' and many more.

"It's all about the songs", Whitwam says, "and we were very lucky to have had a lot of hits in the sixties that people still want to hear today. We're very lucky!"

Grab your tickets and witness Herman's Hermits hop on stage like in the good ol' days this August through to September!
