The Bloody Long Walk – 35km Challenge to Cure Mito

Walking is sure to be as meaningful as ever with 'The Bloody Long Walk – 35km Challenge to Cure Mito' this June through to August. Owned and operated by the Mito Foundation, the event lets you walk, jog or run and enjoy spectacular scenery whilst raising vital funds to help find cures for mitochondrial disease (mito).

Mito is a debilitating and potentially fatal genetic disorder that impairs the body's ability to convert food into the energy needed to power muscles and major organs. One out of 200 people is at risk of developing mito. One Australian child born each week suffers a severe or life-threatening form of mito, making it the second most commonly diagnosed serious genetic disease after cystic fibrosis.

Check the dates near you and register fast 'cause every step is one step closer to finding a cure for mito!
