Barwon Heads Bowling Club was established in 1971 when a group of bowlers decided to raise funds and request assistance from the Barwon Heads Park Committee of Management to build a Bowling green near the corner of Geelong Road and Sheepwash Road, Barwon Heads. A Working Committee was formed and the Parks Committee funded the construction of a bent grass bowling green. The grass green was maintained until it was replaced in 2006 with the existing sand filled synthetic green. This green is renowned to be one of the best synthetic greens on the Bellarine Peninsula. We welcome visiting bowlers and guests to our club rooms for a friendly game, a chat or refreshments.
