At Beckenham Early Learning, we strive to create a home like environment that is welcoming and warm.

We believe that all children should be treated with equality, and their cultural and linguistic diversity embraced and acknowledged.

Families are encouraged to share their culture through language and participation within the program and to share their home experiences with the centre.

We encourage families to become actively involved in decision making, through providing feedback, suggestions and participating in up-coming events.

We aim to provide a diverse program that reflects both group and individual needs. Through ongoing observations and evaluations, we provide enriching experiences that encourage and promote learning and development. Our program not only covers the areas of language, cognitive, social/emotional, fine motor and gross motor development, but also provides for the holistic child. We embrace the Early Years Learning Framework practices and principles of belonging, being and becoming.

We believe that the children have the right to be heard and the opportunity to contribute to the programs while at the centre. Therefore we will provide opportunities for the children to contribute their respective rooms programs. The children's interactions, explorations, interests, skills, abilities and voices will guide the curriculum.

Our future aim is to provide a service that embeds sustainability. By educating and informing through participation and experience we can only pass on knowledge and understanding about the importance of looking after our environment through a variety of mediums. Children have opportunities to explore this through using technology, hands on activities and experience, the arts, books and by exploring their community.

Our educators are committed to ongoing training in the Early Education and Care field. Educators attend regular professional development training sessions and attend scheduled meetings to evaluate their practices. The service regularly observes, documents and evaluates all practices, to continually update and improve the quality and standard of care we provide.

It is our aim to provide a loving, caring, nurturing environment that promotes each child's learning and development, self-esteem and individuality, whilst having a day of fun.
