Welcome to Belleville: where global citizens share experiences in fusion food, diverse music, art & local libations.

The hero of Belleville’s menu is our Asian fusion inspired signature dish: Salt Brined, Miso Butter Basted Chicken. To achieve succulent perfection, the Hazeldene Farms free-range, organic chicken is brined for 12 hours in salt water then continually glazed with miso butter in our rare and internationally sourced 2 metre, 3 tier, 30 stake rotisserie. This roaster is only the third to be imported to Victoria, and of those is the only one to exclusively focus on chicken.

Forming Belleville’s Chef Triad are OOPW Exec Chef Jarrod Moore (Cirque du Soleil, Southpaw & The B.East), former Trunk Head Chef, Slash Vala, and Will McKinnon of Nieuw Amsterdam fame. Together they designed a fun, sharing style menu that throws the traditional out the window and incorporates good time fusion flavours in different formats - with dishes such as Betel Leaf with pulled pork and coconut bacon to karaage fried popcorn chicken and kimchi quesadilla. A sumptuously fun menu to discover either with friends, solo anytime of the day, or even late night with our kitchen cooking through until close at 1am.

The main bar has a locally focussed selection of over 40 wines, with 80% from Victoria and Tasmania and a handful from France. The centrefold of our newspaper style menu is a map to help you locate your current and soon-to-be favourite wineries. For the non-wine quaffer or for a quick frothie in the afternoon, we have a wide range of craft beers available on tap or in bottle.

Curating and communicating Belleville's arts and culture is Stéphanie Kabanyana Kanyandekwe (Third Culture interdisciplinary artist and curator, synaesthete, smiling assassin). Sharing with your table what you know exists yet do not see so immediately, in league with The Bellevillains, our Curator of Culture presents a programme of diverse music, globally conscious artistry and conversation.

*Belleville has an accessible entrance via 234 Swanston Street. Please call our landline on: (03) 9663 4041 so a staff member can enable the lift.
