Website
The Blackheath Uniting Church reflects the long presence of the Methodist Church in Blackheath, and the prominent position that the denomination and Christianity held in the community during the 1920s. It has been an important part of the religious and social life of the community for over seventy five years.
The building is a good, representative and externally very intact example of the simplified Gothic style architecture of the inter war period and may have associations with the architect Albert Newman. It is one of the finest church buildings in the village of Blackheath and is an important and dominant item in the streetscape.
