Geelong-Ballan Road, Ballan
Founded in 1980 by Mr Peter Yunghanns, Yaloak Polo Club is home to 30 members and their families who come to enjoy competitive polo tournaments, relaxed midweek practice chukkas, regular BBQs and a cold beverage or two.
The club is located at the Yaloak Equestrian Centre, on the Ballan-Geelong Road, just south of the Ballan township, 15 minutes from Ballarat and just under an hour from Melbourne.
The pristine grounds are maintained tirelessly by Club Captain Greg Keyte, Secretary, Janice Keyte and their family. Greg, Janice and their family also run the Yaloak Equestrian Centre, providing lessons, horses for sale and agistment services.
The Yaloak Polo Club has a Warm and Welcome policy, and anyone from the community is invited to come and give the sport a go, or simply bring a picnic and take in the thrill of a polo match.
The Yaloak Polo Club has also started to develop a popular Tournament & Social Calendar which includes the annual Ballarat Cup held at the club in February each year.
