Como Primary School

Established in 1916, Como Primary School has a long and proud history of high academic achievement built around strong partnerships between the school and our families. Our school’s continued success and our commitment to future-focused learning means Como Primary School continues to be a school of choice.

We believe in developing the whole child and supporting each student to reach their potential. Our motto – ONLY OUR BEST – applies equally to the academic, social, emotional and physical development of all our students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Our educational environment is enhanced through evidence-based practices and a range of extra-curricular opportunities. Our school offers a diverse and engaging curriculum, including specialist programs in Music, Visual Arts, Physical Education and French.

Como Primary School students are noted for their enthusiasm for learning, positive behaviour and for embracing diversity. These ideals are actively promoted and fostered through our long-running Virtues & Values Program, and within our school creed and school song.

Our school is supported by an enthusiastic and dedicated P&C, our School Board, and our local community. Our positive school culture and climate is enhanced by these partnerships. Our school’s connection to the local area is highlighted by our school colours – purple, yellow and green – representing the wisteria and golden wattle which grew in abundance in the area.
