Dymocks Alice Springs is situated in the Alice Plaza shopping centre... right opposite Target and extends an invitation for anyone who would like to spend a few hours in pleasant company while working on.... whatever you happen to be working on!

On the last Sunday of each month the bookshop hosts an afternoon tea where rather discussing books or authors the conversation often turns to how to knit a sock or how to crochet a beanie!

The "gentle arts" have not been forgotten nor are they fading away... knitters are alive & well and while the weather in Alice Springs isn't always suitable for the wearing of jumpers and scarves it certainly hasn't dampened the enthusiasim of knitters!

Each year the Alice Springs Beanie Festival reminds or stirs a passion to knit or crochet! If you're not sure how to hold a crochet hook or how to cast on there'll always be someone to lend a hand and guide you along.

The Pleasant Sunday Afternoon Tea is keeping the tradition of knitting and crocheting alive!
