Empire Park Skate Bowl

With a dynamic location overlooking various surf breaks at Bar Beach the Empire Park facility predominately features a 2.1m (7ft) / 3.3 (11ft) 'gold bowl' finished with pool coping that has been referred to as one of Australia's best and will hopefully feature in future international competitions. The elevated area of the bowl that features shelter, seating and viewing areas allows a level change to a street area. This level change features banked wall, stairs with hubba ledges and flat bank with rail. The street area features ledges of various heights, pimple, smaller stairs and a quarter pipe to catch users in the space. The space includes upstand ledges/seating walls around the perimeter to encourage participation and minimise sand entering into the space.
